Wine Selection

Food Pairings

Method

Wine Serving

  1. 1

    Chill the Wine

Place the KING ESTATE Pinot Gris bottle in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours prior to serving. This white wine is best enjoyed chilled.

  2. 2

    Prepare Glassware

Select appropriate stemless wine glasses or traditional white wine glasses for serving. Rinse them with cold water to keep the wine at a cool temperature.

Food Preparation

  1. 3

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine olive oil, juice of half a lemon, sea salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus thoroughly. Snap off the woody ends and drizzle with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat.

  3. 5

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  4. 6

    Grill the Asparagus

While the chicken is grilling, place the asparagus directly on the grill. Grill for 3-5 minutes until tender and slightly charred, turning occasionally.

  5. 7

    Plate the Meal

Once cooked, remove the chicken and asparagus from the grill. Plate the grilled chicken alongside the asparagus. Serve with lemon wedges for an extra burst of flavor.
