Cocktail
Garnish & optional
Method
Cocktail
Prepare glass (optional)
If you prefer a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass, then dip the rim in coarse salt. Set the glass aside.
Measure ingredients
Measure 2 oz tequila blanco, 1 oz fresh lime juice (about one medium lime), and 0.5 oz agave nectar into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake
Add about 6 oz of ice to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker feels chilled and slightly frosted. The goal is to chill and slightly dilute the mix.
Strain and serve
Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks or coupe glass over fresh serving ice (about 4 oz) or serve neat if preferred. Use a fine mesh strainer in addition to the shaker strainer to remove any small ice chips or lime pith.
Garnish & finish
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
Optional: For a slightly sweeter or more balanced drink, taste and adjust by adding 0.25 oz more agave if needed, then stir gently in the glass.
