Fit Turkey Wrap

Place the bottle of Samartzis Estate - Two Rivers Rosé in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving to bring it to the ideal serving temperature of about 8–10°C (46–50°F). If short on time, submerge the bottle in an ice bucket with a 1:1 mixture of ice and water for 20–30 minutes.

Chill the bottle

Select medium-stem wine glasses or flutes. Ensure glasses are clean and free of detergent residue. If desired, place a single ice cube per glass or chill glasses in the freezer for 10–15 minutes for extra cold service (note: avoid long freezing which can create frost and mask aromas).

Prepare glassware

Using a standard corkscrew, remove the capsule and cork gently from the bottle. Wipe the bottle lip with a clean cloth or napkin to remove any sediment or cork fragments.

Open the bottle

Hold the bottle at the base and pour slowly into each glass, filling to about one-third full (roughly 120–150 ml per glass) to allow room for aromas. If serving 4 people from one bottle, aim for ~150 ml per pour. Turn the bottle slightly at the end of each pour to avoid drips.

Pour properly

Hold the glass up to the light to observe the wine’s pale salmon/pink color. Gently swirl the wine once to release aromas; Grenache rosés typically present red fruit, floral and citrus notes.

Observe and swirl

Bring the glass to your nose and take a few short sniffs to pick up primary aromas (strawberry, raspberry, orange blossom, citrus). Take a small sip and let it coat your palate, noting acidity, fruit intensity, and finish. This rosé should be fresh, medium-bodied for a rosé, with bright acidity and red-fruit character.

Smell and taste

If desired, add a lemon or orange slice to the rim or float a thin wheel in the glass for a citrus accent. Do not add mixers that will mask the wine’s delicate aroma profile.

Garnish (optional)

Serve alongside light hors d'oeuvres such as fresh goat cheese with honey, marinated olives, thinly sliced prosciutto, grilled shrimp, or a Mediterranean vegetable platter. Refresh the ice bucket as needed to keep the bottle cool during service.

Pair and enjoy

If not finishing the bottle, re-cork with the original cork or a wine stopper and store upright in the refrigerator. Consume within 2–3 days for optimal freshness; flavor will gradually oxidize after that.
