Place the bottle of Moschofilero in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. If you need to chill quickly, submerge the bottle in an ice bucket filled with ice and water for 20–30 minutes, turning occasionally to chill evenly.

Chill the bottle

Remove the bottle from the fridge or ice bucket 2–3 minutes before opening so it isn't ice-cold. Wipe the neck dry. If the bottle has a screw cap, twist it off cleanly. If it has a cork, use a corkscrew: cut any foil, insert the screw centrally, and pull the cork out slowly to avoid splashing or aeration.

Inspect and open

Moschofilero rosé is typically fresh and aromatic and does not require extended decanting. If you prefer a slightly more open aroma, pour the wine into a clean carafe and let it rest for 10–15 minutes. If using a carafe and the wine feels too concentrated, you may add up to 1/2 cup (120 ml) chilled water to the carafe to soften the profile—do this sparingly and taste as you go.

Optional decanting

Use white wine or rosé glasses that allow the aromas to concentrate. Chill glasses briefly by placing them in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes or rinse with cold water and shake out excess. Do not serve in frozen glasses, which can mask flavor.

Select and prepare glasses

Serve Moschofilero rosé at 8–10°C (46–50°F). If the bottle is colder from an ice bucket, allow it to warm by 1–2°C in the glass for better aroma release.

Serving temperature

Pour about 120–150 ml (4–5 oz) per glass, filling to the widest part of the glass to allow aromas to concentrate above the wine. If sharing a bottle among 4–6 people, expect 5–6 servings per bottle (standard 750 ml).

Pouring

Present the bottle on the table or on an ice bucket. Moschofilero rosé pairs well with light salads, grilled seafood, white meats, mezze, and fresh cheeses. Suggest these pairings to guests if desired.

Presentation and pairing suggestions

Reseal the bottle with its screw cap or a wine stopper and refrigerate. Consume within 2–3 days for best freshness. If you decanted and added water, consume the carafe contents within the same time frame.
