Place the bottle in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving to reach a recommended serving temperature of 8–10°C (46–50°F). If short on time, fill a wine cooler or bucket with ice and cold water, submerge the bottle for 15–20 minutes until chilled.

Chill the bottle

Select clean white/rosé wine glasses (one per guest). Arrange light appetizers — a small cheese board (soft cheeses and mild aged cheeses), olives, and slices of crusty bread — on a serving platter. Add lemon slices to the platter if you want a citrus accent for palate refreshment.

Prepare glasses and accompaniments

Wipe the top of the bottle with a clean cloth. Use a waiter’s corkscrew (or appropriate opener) to remove the foil and cork gently. If the bottle is screwcap, twist and remove the cap.

Open the bottle

Hold the bottle at the base and pour a small tasting amount into one glass to check aroma and taste. Smell briefly to appreciate Sauvignon Blanc’s typically fresh, herbal and citrus notes and the Cabernet Sauvignon influence that can add red-fruit lift and structure. Serve

If you don't finish the bottle, reseal with the original cork or a wine stopper and store horizontally in a cool, dark place or in the refrigerator for up to 3–5 days. For best freshness, use a vacuum stopper if available.
