Method
Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a highball or rocks glass in the freezer for a few minutes, or fill it with ice and set aside while preparing the cocktail to chill the vessel.
Combine and shake
In a cocktail shaker, add 4 large ice cubes, 2 oz Cîroc Vodka, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the shaker is well chilled.
Top and garnish
Top the cocktail with 2 oz club soda (or 2 oz cranberry juice for the cranberry variation). Gently stir once with a bar spoon to integrate. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.
Serve
Serve immediately with a short straw if desired. Advise the guest to give a gentle stir before drinking to redistribute the soda.
Optional flavor variations
Raspberry muddle
If using raspberries, place 4 fresh raspberries in the shaker and gently muddle before adding ice and the remaining cocktail ingredients. Continue with shaking and straining as above. Optionally top with club soda and garnish with a mint sprig.
Cîroc Cranberry style
Omit the club soda and top the strained cocktail with 2 oz cranberry juice for a fruitier profile. Stir gently and garnish with lime.
