Shake Base

Method

Prepare Ingredients

1

If using fresh lucuma

Scoop about 1 cup of ripe lucuma pulp from the fruit, removing any fibrous bits or skin. If using frozen lucuma, thaw until soft and measure 1 cup.

2

Sweetness check

Taste a small spoonful of lucuma pulp. If it is very sweet, start with 1/2 tablespoon honey and adjust later. If bland, use the full 1 tablespoon.

Make the Milkshake

3

Add the lucuma pulp, whole milk, vanilla ice cream, honey or brown sugar, and vanilla extract into a blender. If you want a thicker, colder shake add the ice cubes; for a creamier shake omit them.

4

Blend on medium-high for 30–45 seconds until very smooth and homogenous. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed and blend another 10–15 seconds.

5

Taste and adjust: if you want it sweeter add up to 1 additional teaspoon honey or sugar and blend briefly. If it’s too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons milk and blend until desired consistency is reached.

Finish & Serve

6

Pour the lucuma milkshake into two chilled glasses, leaving room for whipped cream if using.

7

Top each shake with a generous spoonful of whipped cream. Dust with ground cinnamon or lucuma powder and sprinkle the crumbled cookies or granola if desired for texture.

8

Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon.
