Method
Prepare equipment
Chill a tall glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes while you prepare the shake. Make sure your blender is clean and dry.
Make the Divino milkshake
Combine base
In the blender, add 1 cup whole milk, 2 cups vanilla ice cream, 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk, and 1 tablespoon heavy cream.
Add flavor
Add 3 tablespoons dulce de leche (or caramel sauce), 1 teaspoon cooled espresso, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the blender. These ingredients create the 'Divino' caramel-coffee-vanilla profile.
Blend
Secure the lid and blend on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and thick but pourable. If the shake is too thick, add up to 2 tablespoons more milk and pulse to combine. If too thin, add a few tablespoons more ice cream and briefly blend.
Assemble & garnish
Pour the milkshake into the prepared glass, leaving about 1/2 inch from the top for whipped cream.
Top with approximately 1/2 cup whipped cream. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the whipped cream.
Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon toasted chopped hazelnuts or almonds and 1 teaspoon chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa if using.
Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by reducing or adding sweetened condensed milk and dulce de leche. For a boozy variation, add 1 tablespoon of coffee liqueur or rum during blending.
