Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Harvest and crush the Chardonnay grapes to extract the juice. Ensure to remove any stems and leaves.

Prepare the Grapes

In a fermentation vessel, combine the grape juice with water, sugar, and acid blend. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.

Create Must

Crush the Campden tablet and add it to the must. Allow it to sit for 24 hours to sanitize the mixture.

After 24 hours, sprinkle the yeast over the must. Do not stir, as the yeast will hydrate and begin fermentation naturally.

Pitch the Yeast

Cover the fermentation vessel with a cloth and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for 1 to 2 weeks, or until fermentation slows down.

Fermentation Process

Transfer the wine to a clean carboy, leaving sediment behind. If using, add oak chips for flavor. Seal with an airlock and let it ferment for another 4 to 6 weeks.

Secondary Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the wine into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Cork the bottles and store them upright for a few days, then store them on their sides.

Bottling

Allow the wine to age for at least 3 months before tasting. The flavors will develop and mature over time.
