Build & Shake
Combine
Add Anteel blood orange tequila (2 oz), blood orange puree (1 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), fresh pink grapefruit juice (1 oz), and simple syrup (0.5 oz) to a cocktail shaker.
Add ice
Fill the shaker halfway with ice (about 1 cup) to chill and slightly dilute the mixture.
Shake
Firmly shake the mixture for 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels cold and the contents are well blended and slightly frothy from the puree.
Finish & Serve
Prepare glass
Fill a highball or Collins glass with fresh ice.
Strain
Double-strain the shaken cocktail over the ice into the prepared glass to remove pulp and ice shards, using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer if available.
Top with soda
Gently top the cocktail with soda water (2 oz). Stir once gently with a bar spoon to integrate the soda without flattening the carbonation.
Garnish & serve
Garnish with a blood orange wheel on the rim and an optional lime wedge. Serve immediately.
