Shrimp Cocktail Preparation

1

Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the Old Bay seasoning and salt to the boiling water.

2

Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the pound of peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

3

Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Allow them to cool for about 5 minutes.

Once chilled, drain the shrimp and toss them in 1 cup of lemon juice. Let them marinate in the lemon juice for at least 15 minutes.

Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

6

Adjust Seasoning

Add hot sauce to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

Assembly

7

Prepare the Shooters

In small shooter glasses, layer the marinated shrimp and a generous dollop of cocktail sauce.

8
