Directions
Prepare the Noodles
Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Mix the Ricotta
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Lasagna
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a small baking dish. Place three lasagna noodles on top. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of the cooked beef and a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles topped with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Serve
Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
