Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Chill glass (optional)

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

2

Pour the tablespoon of granulated sugar onto a small plate. Rub the cut side of the lemon wedge around the rim of the chilled glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into the sugar, twisting to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

Mix Cocktail

3

Add ice to a cocktail shaker until roughly 2/3 full (about 1 cup).

4

Measure and pour 1.5 oz Luxardo Amaretto, 0.75 oz Grand Marnier, and 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice into the shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter, smoother Sidecar, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted. This both chills and dilutes the drink to proper balance.

6

If you prefer a smoother texture, double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into the prepared sugar-rimmed glass to remove small ice shards.

Finish & Serve

7

Twist a strip of lemon peel over the cocktail to express the oils, then drop it in or drape it on the rim as a garnish. Alternatively, use the reserved lemon wedge.

8

Serve immediately. Drink responsibly.
