Cook the Spaghetti
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Tomatoes
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the sauce, cooking for about 3-5 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Combine and Serve
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sauce and shrimp. Stir in fresh basil and adjust seasoning to taste. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
