Method
Prepare the Dumpling Wrappers
Make the Dough
In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with water until a dough forms. Knead it for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Roll Out the Wrappers
After resting, divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle about 3 inches in diameter.
Prepare the Filling
Mix the Filling
In a bowl, combine the shrimp, minced pork, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Assemble and Cook the Dumplings
Fill the Dumplings
Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly, forming a pleated dumpling.
Steam the Dumplings
Prepare a steamer and place the dumplings in it. Steam over boiling water for about 8-10 minutes until the dumplings are translucent and cooked through.
Serve
Dipping Sauce
Serve the dumplings hot with hot mustard and chili sauce on the side for dipping.
