Coca-Cola Cherry (per 12 oz serving)
Fill a 16 oz serving glass with about 1 cup of ice.
Add 1 tablespoon of cherry syrup or grenadine to the glass.
Slowly pour 11 fl oz of chilled Coca-Cola into the glass to preserve carbonation and mix gently with a stir stick.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry if desired and serve immediately.
Sprite (per 12 oz serving)
Fill a 16 oz serving glass with about 1 cup of ice.
Pour 12 fl oz of chilled Sprite over the ice.
Squeeze a lime wedge over the soda and drop the wedge into the glass if desired. Serve immediately.
Root Beer (per 12 oz serving)
Fill a 16 oz serving glass with about 1 cup of ice if serving as a drink; for a float, omit ice and use a tall glass.
Pour 12 fl oz of chilled root beer into the glass.
Lemonade (per 16 oz serving)
Make simple syrup
Combine 0.5 cup granulated sugar and 0.5 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
In a pitcher, combine 0.5 cup fresh lemon juice and the cooled simple syrup.
Add 3.5 cups cold water and stir well. Taste and adjust: add more water if too sweet or more lemon juice if too tart.
Fill a 20 oz serving glass with about 1 cup of ice. Pour ~16 fl oz lemonade over ice, garnish with lemon slices if desired, and serve chilled.
