Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapenos

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Carefully slice the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a spoon. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat and set aside to cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, cream cheese, lump crab meat, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Stuffing and Baking

  1. 4

    Stuff the Peppers

Using a spoon, fill each jalapeno half with the sausage and crab mixture, pressing down slightly to ensure it is packed in well.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each stuffed jalapeno.

  3. 6

    Bake

Place the stuffed jalapenos on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finishing Touch

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the stuffed peppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
