Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a mixing bowl, crack the three eggs. Add salt and black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Prepare Fillings

Choose your desired fillings from the options provided. If using vegetables (bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, onion, tomatoes), chop them into small pieces. If using meat (ham or bacon), ensure they are cooked and chopped.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt, ensuring it coats the bottom of the pan.

  2. 4

    Cook the Omelette

Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Let the eggs cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the edges are set, gently lift them with a spatula and tilt the pan to allow uncooked eggs to flow to the edges. After about 1 minute, sprinkle your chosen fillings evenly over half of the omelette.

  4. 6

    Fold and Serve

Using the spatula, carefully fold the unfilled half of the omelette over the filled half. Cook for another minute, then slide the omelette onto a plate. Serve hot.
