Pancake Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter until well blended.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.

  4. 4

    Preheat Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

  5. 5

    Cook Pancakes

Pour 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Keep Warm

Transfer the cooked pancakes to a plate and keep warm while you repeat with the remaining batter.

Serving

  1. 7

    Prepare Toppings

While the pancakes are cooking, rinse and prepare the mixed berries. Set aside.

  2. 8

    Plate Pancakes

Stack three pancakes on a plate.

  3. 9

    Add Toppings

Top pancakes with mixed berries, drizzle with maple syrup, and add whipped cream as desired.

  4. 10

    Serve

    Serve immediately while warm.
