Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the bell peppers, onion, and your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage into small pieces. Shred the cheese and set all ingredients aside.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a medium skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the diced bell peppers and onion. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized.

  2. 3

    Add the Meat

Stir in the diced ham, bacon, or sausage into the skillet with the vegetables. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  3. 4

    Beat the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the 3 eggs and add salt and black pepper. Whisk the eggs until well combined.

  4. 5

    Combine and Cook

Pour the beaten eggs over the sautéed vegetables and meat in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, gently lifting the edges with a spatula to allow uncooked egg to flow underneath.

  5. 6

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the omelette when the eggs are almost set. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for another minute until the cheese melts.

  6. 7

    Serve

Carefully fold the omelette in half and slide it onto a plate. Serve hot.
