Method

Preparation of the Batter

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Cooking the French Toast

  1. 2

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter to melt.

  2. 3

    Dip the Bread

Take a slice of bread and dip it into the egg batter, ensuring both sides are coated. Allow any excess batter to drip off.

  3. 4

    Cook the French Toast

Place the coated slice of bread onto the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.

  4. 5

    Repeat

Repeat the dipping and cooking process for the remaining slices of bread, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the French Toast

Once all slices are cooked, serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top and a sprinkle of powdered sugar, if desired.
