Marinate Chicken

In a large bowl, mix together buttermilk, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.

Bread the Chicken
Remove marinated chicken from the fridge. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating. Shake off excess flour and place the breaded chicken on a plate.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken pieces. Fry for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
