Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grill

Soak pecan wood chips in water for 30 minutes before grilling.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into a patty.

  3. 3

    Grill the Burger

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Add the soaked pecan wood chips to the grill. Grill the burger patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.

  4. 4

    Cook the Egg

In a non-stick skillet, cook the sunny side up egg over low heat until the whites are set and yolk is still runny.

Tomato Onion Bacon Jam Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into small pieces.

  2. 6

    Sauté Onions

In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions until translucent.

  3. 7

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Add chopped tomatoes, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the onions. Cook until thickened, about 10 minutes.

  4. 8

    Combine with Bacon

Stir in the chopped bacon and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 9

    Toast the Bun

Toast the brioche bun until golden brown.

  2. 10

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of the bun, add lettuce, the grilled burger patty, a generous spoonful of tomato onion bacon jam, a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, and pickle slices.

  3. 11

    Top with Egg

Place the sunny side up egg on top of the assembled burger and cover with the top half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 12

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen fries according to package instructions, usually by baking or frying until golden and crispy.

  2. 13

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle with salt to taste before serving.
