Cocktail
Dry shake
In a cocktail shaker, combine vanilla vodka (2 oz), rose liqueur (0.5 oz), cream of coconut (1 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz), aquafaba (0.75 oz), simple syrup (0.25 oz), and orange flower water (1 tsp, optional). Seal the shaker and shake vigorously without ice for 15–25 seconds to emulsify the aquafaba and create a stable foam.
Wet shake
Open the shaker, add ice (about 1 cup or enough to fill the shaker), reseal and shake hard for 15–20 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and the outside frosts. This chills and dilutes the drink to the proper balance while producing a silky texture.
Fine strain the mixture through a Hawthorne or fine mesh strainer into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass, aiming to retain a creamy foam cap on top of the drink.
Garnish
Sprinkle the toasted shredded coconut lightly across one side of the foam (if using) and place the dried rose petals gently on top for aroma and visual effect.
Finish with a very light grate of nutmeg over the foam if you want a warm spice note. Serve immediately.
