Method
Roast Beef Preparation
Season and Roast
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Rub the beef roast with blackening seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Place in a roasting pan and roast for about 1.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium rare. Let the roast rest for 15 minutes before slicing thinly.
Au Jus Preparation
Prepare Au Jus
In a saucepan, combine beef broth, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let cook for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
Sandwich Assembly
Assemble the Sandwiches
Slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. Spread horseradish sauce on the inside of both halves. Layer with thinly sliced roast beef and top with Provolone cheese. Place under a broiler for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
Serve the sandwiches hot with a side of au jus for dipping.
