Mason Jar Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash and chop the fresh tomatoes and basil. Mince the garlic cloves.

  2. 2

    Mix the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, white vinegar, and sugar. Stir until well mixed.

  3. 3

    Layer the Ingredients

In each mason jar, layer the chopped tomatoes, minced garlic, and fresh basil. Pour the marinade over the layers, ensuring all ingredients are submerged.

  4. 4

    Seal the Jars

Seal each mason jar tightly with a lid and ensure there are no air pockets.

  5. 5

    Refrigerate

Place the jars in the refrigerator and allow them to marinate for at least 24 hours before consuming. For longer shelf life, you can process jars in a water bath for 15 minutes.
