Sponge Cake

Method

Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3

Beat Eggs and Sugar

In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

4

Combine Wet Ingredients

Add the goat's milk, camelina oil, and vanilla extract to the egg mixture, mixing well.

5

Combine Mixtures

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

6

Bake the Sponge

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

7

Cool and Serve

Allow the sponge to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
