In a large pot, bring 20 cups of water to a boil. Add 5 cups of malted barley and let it steep for 30 minutes.

Prepare the Wort

After steeping, remove the grains and bring the wort back to a boil. Add 1 cup of hops and boil for an additional 60 minutes.

Once boiling is complete, cool the wort down quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel, add 1 tbs of yeast, and seal with an airlock. Allow to ferment for 1-2 weeks.

Fermentation

After fermentation, dissolve 1 cup of priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water and add it to the beer. Bottle the beer in 32 oz bottles.

Bottling

Let the bottled beer carbonate at room temperature for 1-2 weeks before refrigerating.
