Ingredients for Marinara Pasta

Method

Cooking Directions

1

Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2

Prepare the Marinara Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

3

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Add the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4

Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked pasta to the marinara sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

5

Serve

Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
