Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Beef

In a large pot, add the flank steak, garlic, onion, salt, and enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 2 hours until the meat is tender.

2

Shred the Beef

Remove the flank steak from the pot and let it cool slightly. Once cool, shred the beef using two forks.

3

Fry the Beef

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shredded beef and cook until crispy, about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add lime juice, black pepper, and more salt to taste.

4

Cook the Black Beans

In a saucepan, heat the black beans over medium heat until warmed through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5

Cook the Rice

Prepare the rice according to package instructions, typically using a 2:1 water-to-rice ratio.

6

Prepare the Yuca

Peel the yuca and cut it into chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 20-25 minutes. Drain and serve.
