For the Sesame Crusted Yellowfin Tuna

For the Wasabi Infused Oil

For the Sweet Soy Sauce

Method

Prepare the Sesame Crusted Yellowfin Tuna

  1. 1

    Season the Tuna

In a bowl, mix salt and black pepper. Season both sides of the yellowfin tuna steaks with the salt and pepper mixture.

  2. 2

    Coat with Sesame Seeds

Spread the sesame seeds on a plate. Press each tuna steak into the sesame seeds, coating both sides well.

  3. 3

    Sear the Tuna

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for desired doneness). Remove and let rest.

Prepare the Asian Stir Fry

  1. 4

    Sauté Aromatics

In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Vegetables

Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

  3. 6

    Add Sauces

Pour in soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss to coat the vegetables evenly and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  4. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle with chopped green onions before removing from heat.

Prepare the Wasabi Infused Oil

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil and wasabi paste until well combined.

Prepare the Sweet Soy Sauce

  1. 9

    Combine and Heat

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce and brown sugar. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
