Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Glass

Before starting, chill a champagne flute or coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.

  2. 2

    Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Lyre’s Gin, 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup.

  3. 3

    Shake it Up

Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

  4. 4

    Strain the Mixture

Remove the glass from the freezer or empty the ice water. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

  5. 5

    Top with Ginger Beer

Slowly top the strained mixture with 4 oz of ginger beer, pouring gently to avoid excessive foam.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Twist a piece of lemon peel over the drink to release the oils, then drop it in as a garnish. Serve immediately.
