Method
Cocktail
- 1
Combine
Add 2 oz Appleton Estate Signature rum, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, 0.5 oz Giffard Banane du Brésil, and 0.5 oz Fleur Charmante into a cocktail shaker.
- 2
Add ice
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup or enough to chill the mixture thoroughly).
- 3
Shake
Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and the exterior shows condensation. This both chills and dilutes the drink to balance the bright lime, sweet liqueurs, and rum.
- 4
Double strain
Double strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass using a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp from the lime.
Garnish & Finish
- 5
Garnish
Float a lime wheel or twist on the rim or on the surface of the cocktail. If desired, add a dehydrated banana chip or a thin fresh banana slice on the rim for visual cue of the banana liqueur.
- 6
Serve immediately. The Kim Chimble is best enjoyed chilled and fresh to preserve the bright lime and layered fruit liqueur flavors.
