Cocktail

1

Prepare cucumber juice

Peel one small to medium cucumber and roughly chop. Place cucumber pieces in a blender and pulse until liquified. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a measuring cup, pressing to extract about 1 ounce of fresh cucumber juice. Reserve any extra for another use.

2

Rim the glass (optional)

If using, lightly dampen the serving glass rim with a lime wedge and dip into flaky salt. Set glass aside and chill in freezer or with ice while mixing the cocktail.

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Chamucos blanco tequila, 0.75 oz Nixta elote liqueur, 0.25 oz Ramazzotti amaro, 0.25 tsp Chartreuse Elixir Vegetal, 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lime juice, 0.25 oz agave syrup, and 1 oz fresh cucumber juice.

4

Add ice and dry shake briefly (optional)

For a slightly frothier texture, add a handful of ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 5 seconds, then discard the ice and continue. (This step is optional; most recipes proceed directly to shaking with ice.)

5

Shake

Fill the shaker with ice and shake hard for 12–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.

6

Double strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled glass (over fresh ice if you prefer it on the rocks, or neat in a coupe). Use a fine mesh strainer to catch any small cucumber solids or ice shards.

7

Garnish

Float a thin cucumber wheel or a curled cucumber ribbon on the surface. If you like a touch of aromatics, express a lime peel over the drink before dropping it in.

8

Serve

Serve immediately. The balance should be bright and vegetal from cucumber and lime, with sweet corn notes from the Nixta, bitter complexity from Ramazzotti, and an herbal lift from the Elixir Vegetal.
