Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper. This will be used to marinate the tuna steaks.

2

Marinate the Tuna

Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

3

Preheat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Make sure it is hot before adding the tuna.

4

Sear the Tuna

Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Sprinkle the black sesame seeds on both sides of the steaks. Place the tuna in the hot pan and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer if you prefer it more cooked.

5

Serve

Remove the tuna from the pan and let it rest for a minute. Slice the tuna steaks against the grain and serve with lime wedges on the side.
