Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fresh spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 5-7 minutes.

Combine and Serve

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the tomatoes. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as necessary to create a light sauce. Stir in the fresh basil, grated Parmesan, and season with black pepper. Serve immediately.
