Espresso Preparation
1. Grind the Coffee Beans
Using a coffee grinder, grind 18 grams of espresso coffee beans to a fine consistency. The grind should resemble table salt.
2. Prepare the Espresso Machine
Turn on your espresso machine and allow it to heat up for about 15 minutes. Ensure that the portafilter is clean and dry.
3. Tamp the Coffee Grounds
Add the ground coffee into the portafilter and use a tamper to press the coffee down evenly and firmly. The goal is to create a flat, even surface.
4. Brew the Espresso
Lock the portafilter into the espresso machine and start the brewing process. Use 30 ml of water to extract the espresso. Aim for a brewing time of about 25-30 seconds.
5. Serve
Once the espresso has finished brewing, serve it immediately in a warm espresso cup. Enjoy your strong and bold coffee!
