Cocktail

Optional Lilikoi Syrup (if not pre-made)

Method

Optional Lilikoi Syrup (make ahead)

1

Make syrup

Combine 0.5 cup passion fruit pulp, 0.5 cup sugar and 0.25 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat and simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds if desired. Chill before using.

Cocktail Preparation

2

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the drink is served up and cold.

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz New Amsterdam Vodka, 1 oz lilikoi (passion fruit) syrup, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice and 0.5 oz cranberry juice. Add a large handful of ice (about 1 cup).

4

Shake

Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted.

5

Strain and serve

Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer if available to catch any pulp or ice shards.

6

Garnish and finish

Garnish with a lime wheel or a thin lime twist on the rim. Serve immediately.
