Preparation

1

Muddle the Mint and Sugar

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves, releasing their essential oils and flavor. Be careful not to shred the leaves too much.

2

Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into the glass with the muddled mint and sugar. If you prefer, you can also add the lime halves for extra flavor.

3

Mix in the Buttermilk

Pour the buttermilk into the glass and stir gently to combine with the mint, sugar, and lime juice. This will create a creamy base for your mojito.

4

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top, ensuring the drink remains chilled and refreshing.

5

Top with Club Soda

Slowly pour the club soda over the ice, filling the glass to the rim. This will add fizz and lighten the drink.

6

Stir and Garnish

Using a long spoon or straw, gently stir the drink to mix all the ingredients. Garnish with lime wedges and mint sprigs for an attractive presentation.
