Cocktail Base (per 12-cup pitcher)
Sour Mix (makes ~3 cups)
To Finish & Serve
Method
Sour Mix
Make sour mix
Juice fresh lemons and limes until you have about 2.5 cups of juice (1.5 cups lemon, 1 cup lime). In a pitcher or mixing container, combine the lemon and lime juice with 1.5 cups simple syrup. Stir until fully combined. If the mix is very tart, add up to 1/4 cup water to adjust sweetness and volume. Chill briefly while assembling the cocktail.
Assemble Pitcher
Add ice and soda
Add about 4–6 cups of ice to the pitcher (enough to chill without over-diluting). Pour in 4 cups Sierra Mist (lemon-lime soda) and gently stir once to combine. Taste and adjust: if too strong, add more soda; if too tart, add a splash more simple syrup (about 1–2 tablespoons at a time).
