Method
Prepare glass
Chill and fill
If using a copper mule mug, chill it briefly in the freezer (optional). Fill the mug or highball glass with cubed ice until nearly full (about 1 cup).
Build cocktail
Measure vodka
Measure 2 oz Grey Goose vodka with a jigger and pour it over the ice in the glass.
Add lime juice
Juice fresh limes to collect 0.75 oz (about 3/4 oz, roughly the juice of 1/2 to 1 medium lime depending on size). Add the fresh lime juice into the glass on top of the vodka.
Top with ginger beer
Slowly pour 4 oz of chilled ginger beer into the glass to top the cocktail, allowing it to fizz gently.
Combine gently
Give the drink one or two gentle stirs with a bar spoon to mix vodka, lime and ginger beer without flattening the carbonation.
Garnish & serve
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and optionally slap a mint sprig between your palms to release aroma and add it as a garnish. Serve immediately while chilled and fizzy.
