- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil a shallow baking dish.
- 2
Spread 6 cups tortilla chips in a single, even layer on the baking sheet.
- 3
Sprinkle 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese over the chips in an even layer.
- 4
Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef (1 cup) and drained black beans (0.5 cups) over the cheese.
- 5
Scatter jalapeño slices (0.5 cups) across the nachos.
- 6
Top with the remaining cheddar cheese (1 cup) to cover and melt during baking.
- 7
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep an eye to avoid burning.
- 8
Remove from oven. Dollop sour cream (0.5 cups) and salsa (0.5 cups) over the nachos. Sprinkle chopped cilantro (2 tablespoons) on top.
- 9
Serve immediately while hot. Optional: serve with extra salsa or guacamole on the side.
