Fries

Preheat fryer to 350°F (175°C) or preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) if baking. Pat fries dry if using fresh-cut potatoes.

If deep-frying: add oil to fryer and fry fries in a single layer for 3–5 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels; immediately season with 1/4 tsp salt.

If oven-baking: toss fries with 1–2 tbs oil, spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet, bake 18–22 minutes turning once until golden and crisp; season immediately with 1/4 tsp salt.
Chicken Tenders Option

If using frozen breaded chicken tenders: cook according to package—typically 12–15 minutes at 400°F (200°C) in oven, flipping halfway, or 3–5 minutes in a 350°F (175°C) fryer until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

If using fresh: heat 2 tbs oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook tenders 3–4 minutes per side until golden and internal temp is 165°F (74°C). Drain briefly on paper towels.

During the last 30 seconds of cooking, place 1 slice American cheese on the patty and cover to melt.

Cut the sandwich in half and serve with fries and 1 tbs ketchup or ranch for dipping.

Plate: place cooked protein choice on plate, add 1 cup fries beside it, include condiment portions in small ramekins. Serve promptly while hot.
