Method
For the Unsweetened Tea (per serving)

Boil water
Bring 2 cups (480 ml) of fresh cold water to a rolling boil in a kettle or small saucepan.

Steep tea
Place 1 black tea bag in a heatproof cup. Pour the boiling water over the tea bag. Let steep 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength (3 minutes for lighter, 5 minutes for stronger).

Remove tea bag
Remove the tea bag and gently press it against the side of the cup with a spoon for a second to extract flavor, then discard.

For Batch Brewing (approx. 8 servings)

Heat water
Bring 16 cups (3.8 L) of fresh cold water to a near boil in a large kettle or stockpot.

Steep tea bags
Place 8 black tea bags into a large heatproof pitcher or pot. Pour the hot water over the tea bags and let steep 5 minutes for a balanced flavor (reduce to 3–4 minutes for lighter tea).

Remove tea bags
Remove and discard the tea bags, gently squeezing each against the side of the pitcher to extract remaining liquid.

Refills
For free refills: keep brewed tea refrigerated; refill glasses from the chilled pitcher. If flavor weakens after multiple refills, brew a fresh batch following these steps.
