Cocktail
- 1
Build and stir
Fill a copper mug with crushed or cubed ice to about 3/4 full. Add 2 oz vodka (for a Moscow Mule) OR 2 oz mezcal (for a Mezcal Mule), and 0.75 oz fresh lime juice. If you prefer slightly sweeter, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. Pour 4 oz ginger beer over the top. Using a bar spoon, give a gentle stir (4–6 turns) to combine ingredients without losing carbonation.

Taste and adjust: If the drink is too tart, add a little more simple syrup (0.25 oz). If it needs more brightness, squeeze the optional lime wedge over the drink and drop it in.
Garnish & Serve
- 3
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and, if desired, a sprig of fresh mint tucked into the ice for aroma. Serve immediately in the chilled copper mug.
