Mojito
Method
Mojito
- 1
Prepare glass and mint
Place 10–12 fresh mint leaves in a sturdy highball or Collins glass. Reserve the sprig for garnish. Add 2 tsp granulated sugar on top of the leaves.
- 2
Add lime and muddle
Cut the whole lime into 6–8 wedges. Squeeze 3–4 wedges (about 1 oz juice) into the glass, then drop the squeezed wedges in. Using a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, gently press and twist the mint, sugar, and lime together 8–10 times—just enough to release the mint oils and dissolve the sugar without shredding the mint leaves.

Garnish and serve
Add the reserved mint sprig and a lime wheel or wedge to the rim. Optionally slap the mint sprig between your palms once before garnishing to release aroma. Serve immediately with a straw.
