Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a rocks glass or small tumbler in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink to cool it down, then discard ice water before assembling.

2

Add 4 large ice cubes to a mixing glass or the chilled rocks glass.

3

Measure and pour 2 tablespoons (about 30 ml) Luxardo White Sambuca over the ice.

4

Add 30 ml cold water to the glass. For a more diluted, softer flavor, increase water to taste (up to 60 ml).

5

Stir gently with a bar spoon for 10–15 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the spirit, ensuring even temperature and texture.

6

Strain or leave in glass (if mixed in the rocks glass). If you used a mixing glass, pour the chilled Sambuca over fresh ice in your chilled serving glass.

7

Float or drop 3 coffee beans on the surface as a traditional garnish (the three beans represent health, happiness and prosperity). Serve immediately.

Optional — Espresso Sambuca Variation

8

If making the espresso variation, prepare a fresh short espresso (approximately 30 ml) and let it cool for a minute so it won't overly melt the ice.

9

In a mixing glass with ice, combine 30 ml Luxardo White Sambuca, 30 ml espresso and 5 ml simple syrup. Stir for 10–15 seconds to chill and dilute slightly.

10

Strain into a chilled rocks glass with fresh ice and garnish with 3 coffee beans. Serve immediately.
