Ribeye Steak

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the 10 oz ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking. This helps in achieving an even cook.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the olive oil all over the ribeye steak. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and black pepper evenly on both sides of the steak. Press the seasonings into the meat gently.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a grill or a skillet over high heat for about 5 minutes until hot. If using a skillet, you can add a bit more olive oil to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, then flip the steak.

  5. 5

    Add Flavor

After flipping, add the sprig of fresh rosemary and the tablespoon of butter to the pan. As the butter melts, spoon it over the steak to enhance the flavor.

  6. 6

    Finish Cooking

Cook for another 4-5 minutes depending on your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (130°F for medium-rare).

  7. 7

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve on a plate. You can drizzle any remaining butter and juices from the pan over the steak for added flavor.
