Place the bottle of Canyon Road Chardonnay in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Ideal serving temperature is 45–50°F (7–10°C). If short on time, place bottle in an ice bucket with equal parts ice and water for 20–30 minutes.

Chill wine

Set out white wine glasses. If desired, briefly rinse glasses with cold water and let them air-dry to further cool the glass.

Prepare glassware

Wash and core the apple, then cut into very thin slices (about 1–2 mm). Arrange about 3–4 slices per glass on a small plate. If you prefer, lightly toss the slices with 1/2 tsp of honey and a pinch of ground cinnamon to accentuate the wine's cinnamon-crisp-apple notes.

Store unfinished wine upright in the refrigerator and consume within 3–5 days for best flavor; re-cork or use a wine stopper to limit oxidation.
