Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a martini/coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you build the cocktail to ensure the drink stays cold.
Combine ingredients
Add 2 oz Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka, 1 oz Kahlúa, 0.5 oz Bailey’s Original Irish Cream, 1 oz Maven Cold Brew, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (optional) into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake vigorously
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup or enough to come three-quarters up the shaker). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–18 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and you see a creamy foam developing. The vigorous shake aerates the cold brew and cream liqueur to create a silky crema on top.
Strain
Dump the ice from the chilled glass if you used ice water. Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini/coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer (or just the Hawthorne if you don't have a fine strainer) to remove small ice shards and ensure a clean silky surface.
Garnish
Float 3 whole coffee beans on the crema as a traditional garnish. Serve immediately.
